In a startling case from North Carolina, a man with a lengthy arrest record was apprehended following the alleged murder of a 51-year-old. According to records, this individual had been detained over 40 times prior to this incident.

The suspect, 32-year-old Ronnie Fewell, stands accused of fatally shooting Ronald Neville on October 10 at a Motel 6 in Charlotte. Police reports detail that Neville was discovered with multiple gunshot injuries and was declared deceased at the location.

Surveillance footage reviewed by authorities revealed Fewell as one of three individuals who forced their way into the motel room. The trio was inside for only a brief period, and investigators noted that one man exited rapidly with a backpack he hadn’t carried in initially.

Fewell faces charges of felony murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and felony conspiracy tied to this tragic event. Authorities have identified him as one of the four individuals allegedly connected to Neville’s killing.

The contents of the absconded backpack were estimated to have a value of $100, as per the arrest warrant.

Fewell was given no bond and was ordered to be detained at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Court and arrest records reviewed by Fox News Digital show that Fewell has been arrested at least 40 times dating back to 2012.

Many of the charges were dismissed by the local state’s attorney and resulted in no jail time, according to court records, but he has served time in prison for several convictions.
