State Senator Angela Mosley said to reporters Monday that she felt the explosion in her own home multiple miles away from the scene.

One resident shared, “I do live five miles away from here. I heard the explosion, felt the explosion, and things in my house did fall. I thought it was a tree that fell, but unfortunately, it was an explosion and thank God that nobody lost their life.”

Authorities stated that the St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit, along with the Blackjack Fire Protection District, were present on Monday to evaluate the damage and determine the cause of the explosion.
