Have you seen this man? Authorities from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a man suspected of opening fire at a group of friends.
In JACKSONVILLE, Fla., on Wednesday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office unveiled new surveillance footage capturing a suspect believed to have fired shots at five friends outside a McDonald’s located in the St. Johns Town Center. Officials are hopeful that the public can help in recognizing the alleged shooter.
According to the JSO, the incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday, January 18. The group had arrived at the drive-thru of the McDonald’s at 4587 Town Center Parkway.
As they attempted to place their order, they noticed a man clad in black, brandishing a pistol and walking through the parking area. Alarmed, the friends quickly drove away as the suspect began shooting at their vehicle.
One individual sustained a gunshot wound but is expected to recover, according to the JSO.
The surveillance footage released on Wednesday captures the moment the alleged gunman first approached the victims’ car.
