JSO said the victim got into an argument at Jacksonville’s Elevation Lounge, and as he went to leave, witnesses heard multiple gunshots.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has died after being shot subsequent to an argument at a Northside lounge early Friday morning, as reported by investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO Sgt. Steve Rudlaff said officers responded to the 6000 block of Norwood Avenue Friday to reports of a man shot.

Authorities discovered the man, estimated to be around 25 years old, lying outside a vehicle with gunshot injuries. Paramedics from JFRD arrived and transported him to the hospital, where he was declared deceased.

According to Rudlaff, their preliminary investigation revealed that the man got into a dispute in the parking area of the nearby Elevation Lounge, and subsequently entered a car to depart with someone else. Witnesses later reported hearing several gunshots, Rudlaff mentioned.

JSO investigators are still working the scene for more information.

Anyone with information on this shooting should contact JSO.
