In Shorewood, Illinois, a disturbing incident has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man following a violent altercation with his mother and an alleged attempt to harm a police officer. According to the Shorewood Police Department, the young man, identified as Ryan Dube, is facing serious charges after the events unfolded on a quiet Thursday afternoon.
Authorities were alerted to the domestic disturbance after receiving a 911 call from the 200-block of South Ravinia Drive. Upon their arrival, officers witnessed a troubling scene. Dube was reportedly seen assaulting his mother, pushing her to the ground. Prior to their arrival, police reports indicate that Dube had already subjected her to physical violence inside their home, striking her face and neck.

As the situation escalated, Dube’s mother managed to escape the confines of the house. However, this did not deter Dube, who allegedly pursued her outside while brandishing a knife. The unfolding drama prompted a swift response from law enforcement to prevent further harm.
In an unrelated note, a separate legal matter involving former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has reached a resolution. Moore has reportedly reached a plea agreement concerning a home invasion case, bringing some closure to the legal proceedings he faced.

Officials said an officer tackled Dube, who swung a knife at the officer and tried to stab him.
Another officer was able to stop the attack, police said.
Dube was taken into custody.
The officer and Dube’s mother were evaluated by paramedics on the scene for injuries.
Dube has been charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery.
He was taken to Will County Jail, pending a pre-trial release hearing.
