Hilarious moment Sky News anchor gets the hiccups during afternoon segment

What seemed like a minor interruption turned into a comedic moment on live television.

Jayne Secker of Sky News found herself battling a case of the hiccups during a segment meant to cover NASA’s Artemis II Mission, much to the amusement of viewers.

“The wait is over,” declared the seasoned news presenter during the 4 p.m. bulletin on Thursday. “After more than half a century, astronauts are finally on their way back [hiccup] to the moon.”

Secker, 53, took a moment to regain her composure, letting out a small laugh before continuing with her report.

Secker also conducted a live TV interview in 2016 with British astronaut Tim Peake from the International Space Station.

But she came under fire in 2024 for making a dismissive comment about a young gamer who became the first person to beat Nintendo’s version of “Tetris.”

Secker sparked outrage when she told then-13-year-old Willis Gibson to “get some fresh air.”

“As a mother I would just say step away from the screen, go outside, get some fresh air. Beating Tetris is not a life goal,” she said with a smile on her face.
