LOS ANGELES — Hopping onto movie screens soon is Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers!”

On Wednesday, the studios unveiled a fresh trailer for their forthcoming original film “Hoppers.” This animated comedy filled with action is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2026.

“Hoppers” asks the question, “What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?”

In this film, Mabel (voiced by Piper Curda) embarks on a unique adventure when she tries out new technology that lets her “hop” human consciousness into realistic robotic animals. This innovation enables people to connect with animals by becoming animals themselves!

“This is like ‘Avatar!'”

“This is nothing like ‘Avatar,'” they joke in the trailer.

Director Daniel Chong shares, “Our protagonist, Mabel, experiences the animal kingdom from the perspective of an animal, which is strange yet often amusing. Her undercover escapades in this world lead to a thrilling, roller coaster of a movie, offering all the heartwarming elements expected from a traditional Pixar film. Watching it in theaters is going to be a blast; I’m eagerly anticipating everyone getting the chance to enjoy it.”

Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm also star alongside Curda.

Nicole Paradis Grindle produces.

“Hoppers” jumps into theaters March 6, 2026.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Walt Disney Studios, Pixar and this ABC station.
