Snoop won two Sports Emmys as part of NBCUniversal’s Paris Olympics coverage from 2024.
MILAN, Italy — Snoop Dogg is headed back to the Olympics.
On Sunday evening, NBCUniversal confirmed that global superstar Snoop Dogg, who previously served as a roving correspondent during the 2024 Paris Games coverage, will participate in the coverage of the upcoming Milan-Cortina Games in February.
“Guess who’s back?” Snoop inquired in a brief, 15-second video released by NBC, where he was dressed in Team USA’s red, white, and blue outfit, surrounded by swirling snow while the Olympic anthem played in the background.
Just as he did in Paris, Snoop will engage with NBC host Mike Tirico to share his insights on the events unfolding in Italy. His presence is anticipated at various Winter Olympics events, where he will “cheer alongside the athletes, their friends, and families,” according to NBC.
“I’m thrilled to reunite with my buddy Mike Tirico for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina,” Snoop expressed in an NBC press release. “The D-O-double-G is in the house, and I’m eager to join the celebrations with the athletes and their loved ones. The Olympics is the world’s grandest stage, and everyone knows, I thrive on sports, bringing unity, and adding fun to the mix.”
The Winter Olympics are scheduled from February 6 to February 22. With the 2028 Olympics set in Los Angeles, there’s a strong chance that Snoop, being a Southern California native, will also play a role in the coverage for that event.
“In Paris, Snoop highlighted the joy of the Summer Olympics: training with athletes, supporting their families, and enthusiastically cheering for their accomplishments,” according to Molly Solomon, NBC Olympics’ executive producer. “He resonated with viewers in an unprecedented manner, and now he’s ready to return as Team USA’s most enthusiastic advocate.”
Snoop — who has nearly 89 million followers on Instagram and enormous appeal across many platforms — won two Sports Emmys as part of NBCUniversal’s Paris Olympics coverage from 2024.
The rapper’s sports background is diverse: he’s been part of Super Bowl halftime shows, is part-owner of the Welsh soccer club Swansea, has hosted the NFL Honors show and even was among the celebrities spotted to watch Southern California women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins play this past season.
