Can Arsenal extend their lead?

This week has been a remarkable one for Arsenal, filled with accomplishments that have bolstered their position and ambitions. The Gunners, riding high in the Premier League standings, benefited from some unexpected results last weekend as both Manchester City and Aston Villa faltered, allowing Arsenal to extend their lead at the top.

Further cementing their credentials, Mikel Arteta’s squad made a significant stride midweek by securing a victory against Chelsea, thus booking their place in the Carabao Cup final. It’s a testament to their growing confidence and determination to clinch silverware this season.

With momentum on their side, Arsenal now prepares to host Sunderland, aiming to widen the gap further and solidify their standing at the Premier League’s summit. However, they will not take this challenge lightly, as Sunderland previously thwarted their efforts with a last-gasp equalizer in a dramatic encounter at the Stadium of Light earlier this season.

As the 3 pm kick-offs approach, all eyes will be on the Emirates Stadium to see if Arsenal can continue their impressive form. Nevertheless, the excitement is not limited to just this match, with a full slate of five games promising plenty of action and intrigue across the league.

The Black Cats, however, denied Arsenal victory earlier in the season by earning a dramatic last ditch draw at the Stadium of Light.

Events at the Emirates will be our main focus of the 3pm kick-offs but there will be plenty of interest across the five matches.

Burnley face West Ham in a crunch clash in the battle to avoid relegation.

Aston Villa travel to Bournemouth as they aim to get back on track in the league, while Wolves host Chelsea and Fulham face Everton.

We will bring you all the latest from around the grounds, so stay with us throughout.
