JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a suspect following a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on Friday night, charging him with manslaughter in the death of a woman.
According to authorities, 19-year-old Isaiah Robinson was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the incident, which took place at an apartment on Collins Road.
JSO Sgt. Matthews reported that officers were dispatched to the scene at 7:46 p.m. on Friday, to an apartment in the 4900 block of Collins Road after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a woman with at least one gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
“Through the investigation, Isaiah Micaleb Robinson, who was present at the scene, emerged as the primary suspect,” JSO stated in a release. “Following an interview with Robinson and an examination of the collected evidence, he was arrested and charged with manslaughter.”
