Boulder, Colorado suspected terror attack suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman faces murder, assault, other charges

Suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman is currently facing multiple charges, including murder and assault, after an incident described by the FBI as a “targeted terror attack” that took place over the weekend in Boulder, Colorado.

The attack on Sunday targeted a pro-Israel group urging for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. It resulted in injuries to eight individuals, ranging from 52 to 88 years old, with one person critically injured as per the FBI’s report. Police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a man armed with a weapon who was igniting people on fire.

Soliman is now facing several charges: first-degree murder with deliberation and intent, first-degree murder showing extreme indifference, crimes against at-risk adults or the elderly, first-degree assault not involving family, first-degree assault in the heat of passion, attempts to commit class one and class two felonies, and the use of explosives or incendiary devices in the commission of a felony.

Soliman was also in the United States illegally, Fox News has learned. 

As of Monday morning, there have been no fatalities confirmed by either the FBI or Boulder Police Department. Soliman was booked into the Boulder County Jail on Sunday evening and remains held on a $10 million bond.

Soliman was allegedly yelling “Free Palestine” during the attack, which was near the county courthouse on Pearl Street. 

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the attack is being investigated as an act of “ideologically motivated violence,” based on early information, evidence and witness accounts.
