Taste of the Nation to Return to Rockwell on the River, Chicago, Aiming to End Childhood Hunger

CHICAGO (WLS) — The renowned Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry, a leading culinary event aimed at supporting a charitable cause, is making its way back to Chicago. This event will be held on Friday, June 27, at Rockwell on the River.

This gathering will feature more than 50 of Chicago’s finest chefs, restaurant owners, food influencers, and drink experts, serving up an evening of delightful small dishes, expertly made cocktails, and delicious desserts. The aim is to benefit No Kid Hungry, a nationwide initiative dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger in the United States.

Among the prominent figures attending are Top Chef victors Joe Flamm and Stephanie Izard, culinary maestros from Michelin Star hotspots like Sepia and Galit, and winners and finalists of the prestigious James Beard Award. Taste of the Nation offers attendees a unique chance to savor exceptional food and drinks crafted by Chicago’s elite culinary artists while contributing to a vital mission that ensures all children have access to the nutrition essential for their growth and success.

This year’s ultimate foodie experience was crafted in part by event co-chairs and award-winning chefs Joe Flamm, culinary director and chef partner of Day Off Group, and Diana Davila, executive chef and owner of Mi Tocaya Antojería. They have worked with No Kid Hungry to bring every cuisine and style of cooking to this event, from bold Asian street eats to upscale farm-to-table dishes. Between bites, guests will cleanse their palates with curated, savory sips by celebrated local mixologists, winemakers, and brewers.

In addition to the delicious food and drinks, there is entertainment to round out the evening experience, such as music and interactive games. Guests will also experience live cooking and mixology demonstrations featuring top talent from around town.
