Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s budding relationship isn’t a love story, but rather a calculated publicity stunt engineered by the social media-savvy NFL star, according to Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd.
‘I’m not usually into this stuff, and my gut feeling is they’re trolling all of us, but the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship is potentially fantastic,’ Cowherd told his audience on FS1’s ‘The Herd.’
‘I have a feeling, the Kelce’s are very good with social media, his brand is exploding and he’s on like six commercials now.’
As much of the universe knows by now, Swift and Kelce were rumored to be dating for weeks prior to Sunday, when the 33-year-old pop star watched his Kansas City Chiefs obliterate the Chicago Bears, 42-10.
And in case there was any doubt, Swift watched from a suite alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, and was later seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium with the All-Pro tight end.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, Kelce was already among the NFL’s most popular players before connecting with Swift, thanks to a number of endorsement deals and a popular podcast he does with his brother, Jason, a Philadelphia Eagles center.
But with his name now attached to Swift’s, Kelce is reaching an entirely new audience.
Not only did the Chiefs-Bears game beat every primetime NFL matchup on the weekend slate, but it also ranked first for women aged 12-49, with many speculating that that number was made up heavily of ‘Swifties.’
And according to Fanatics, sales of Kelsey’s No. 87 jersey saw a massive rise in sales from Sunday afternoon.
‘Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites,’ a Fanatics spokesperson told TMZ Sports.
A limited edition red replica Kelce jersey on the NFL Shop website will cost fans $175, while a standard ‘player game jersey’ costs fans $130.
