JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An early morning house party in Jacksonville’s Arlington area turned violent on Saturday, leaving five individuals wounded in a shooting incident, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Lieutenant Katsacos of the JSO stated that the altercation occurred during a gathering at an Airbnb located on the 1200 block of Arlingwood Avenue. Authorities were called to the scene around 3 a.m. following reports of gunfire.
Preliminary investigations indicate that approximately 20 people were in attendance when a disagreement between two groups erupted. Although initially calmed, the argument reignited in the backyard, leading to gunfire that eventually moved inside the residence, Lt. Katsacos explained.
“The argument initially simmered down but flared up again in the backyard,” Katsacos noted. “The ensuing shooting began there and resulted in injuries inside the house.”
Among the injured were two women in their early 20s, who sustained gunshot wounds to the thigh and arm, and two men, also in their early 20s, who were both shot in the leg. Additionally, a 16-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the back. All five victims were hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Multiple people were detained and interviewed at the scene, Katsacos said. He added that this was an isolated incident, and that there is no further danger to the community.
