Amid the growing wave of protests against Elon Musk’s Tesla in the US, a California resident finds his sense of safety compromised after a masked individual was caught on video vandalizing his family’s Tesla Cybertruck parked in their driveway last weekend.
Jason Bedell, a 51-year-old involved in property management, was startled awake by the sound of breaking glass. This incident marked his Cybertruck as the latest target in the growing anti-Musk sentiment across the nation.
“I have a 4-year-old son who was asleep in the house at that moment,” Bedell expressed. “It’s really disturbing that someone would come to my home to do this.”
Tesla did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Bedell is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the Cybertruck vandal’s arrest, a move he hopes will deter future offenders and show solidarity in his California community as he is left feeling “violated.”
“I don’t know if they’re going to come back. I don’t know what they’re going to do,” Bedell told Fox News Digital. “This person is dangerous. I’m sure I’m not the first person, and I’m not going to be the last person [they are] going to do it to. I am set on getting this person caught and making an example out of this person.”
