The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has released video footage showcasing the efforts of its Border Mounted Patrol Unit (BMPU) in apprehending a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico. This incident took place last weekend on a private ranch located in Kinney County, Texas.

The individual, identified as 52-year-old Adan Delgado-Ortega, was apprehended and subsequently handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as reported by DPS.

During “Operation Lone Star” on Sunday morning shortly after 9 a.m. local time, the DPS mounted unit, accompanied by a K-9 and its handler, responded to a camera alert triggered by a man spotted on private property.

Texas Border Mounted Patrol troopers and a K-9 tracked and found Adan Delgado-Ortega hiding in thick brush.

Troopers from the Texas Border Mounted Patrol, along with the K-9, successfully tracked and located Adan Delgado-Ortega concealed within dense vegetation.

The BMPU troopers, assisted by the K-9 unit, managed to track down Delgado-Ortega, who was found hiding in the thick underbrush, according to DPS.

Upon his arrest, officers discovered that Delgado-Ortega had previously been deported multiple times, with his deportation history stretching back to 1998.

Delgado-Ortega was last deported from the U.S. in August 2025 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Oklahoma City.
