Feed the Hungry celebrates 17 years of service with holiday dinners

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Marking nearly two decades of dedicated service, Feed the Hungry is preparing to host four special holiday dinners as part of its 17th anniversary celebrations.

For Feed the Hungry, commemorating their anniversary goes hand-in-hand with their mission of community service. This year, the organization will orchestrate several festive dinners, aiming not only to nourish various communities during the holiday season but also to honor their long-standing commitment to those in need.

The events will feature an array of hot meals, fresh produce, and generous helpings of chicken, turkeys, and traditional holiday sides. Below are details about the upcoming gatherings, along with promotional flyers:

17th Annual Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner

  • Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m.
  • John S. Delaware Center, located at 1815 Lincoln St. in Savannah.

Sylvania Food Giveaway

  • Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m.
  • The Market on 117 Maple St. in Sylvania.

“The Big One”

  • Monday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m.
  • Enmarket Arena
  • The A. E. Beach High School Marching Band will join the event as a special guest. Expect free haircuts, farm-to-table produce, thousands of pounds of chicken, free toys, The Empowerment Zone, a Signature Hot Meal and more.

17th Annual MLK Community Dinner

  • Thursday, Jan. 1 at 2 p.m., immediately following the parade.
  • Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club at 510 Charlton St.
