CHICAGO (WLS) — The U.S. government is seeking more than $3.1 million from former Illinois house speaker Michael Madigan.
The video in the player above is from a previous report.
Madigan was convicted by a jury last month on 10 counts of bribery, conspiracy and wire fraud charges.

Now, the acting U.S. attorney for the northern district of Illinois is seeking the amount of money ComEd paid to Madigan’s associates as so-called subcontractors.
The jury’s verdict found those payments were bribes.
Madigan will face his sentencing for his corruption charges June 13.
He faces as many as 20 years in prison for the most serious charges, but it’s likely he’ll get far less, if any, prison time at all.
