JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three people are recovering from injuries following a gas station shooting in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says this happened just after 6 a.m. Sunday at the Sunoco Gas Station in the area of Kings Road.

When officers arrived, they report first finding a man and woman in their late 30s, suffering from gunshot injuries.

The woman had a gunshot wound to her hand and leg, while the man had a wound to his foot, JSO says.

While on the scene, officials were also approached by the second woman in her 30s who suffered a gunshot to her leg, according to a news release.

Authorities suspect that the trio was positioned in the front parking section of the gas station close to the pumps when a dark-colored Dodge Charger drove in, lowered the front passenger window, and discharged a firearm.

Detectives are on scene speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
