As women transition into their mid-40s and beyond, they often experience bodily transformations that can be perplexing and exasperating. The hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause can affect various aspects such as metabolism, mood, bone health, sleep patterns, and joint flexibility.

These changes frequently result in stiffness, fatigue, and diminished confidence in day-to-day physical well-being. However, an increasing number of women are finding rejuvenation and empowerment through the practice of yoga.

The Yoga-Go app brings this rejuvenating practice to women’s homes, offering exercises that are simple and accessible, regardless of one’s fitness level. First-time subscribers can benefit from a discount of up to 61% on their initial subscription, making it an attractive option for newcomers.

Yoga-Go offers easy-to-follow routines specifically crafted for women over 45, aimed at alleviating joint stiffness, enhancing strength, boosting flexibility, and promoting relaxation. These routines also support hormonal balance and energy enhancement. Developed by experts, each program is tailored to accommodate various fitness levels, personal goals, and busy schedules.

With sessions ranging from 7 to 30 minutes, the app provides a flexible way to incorporate yoga into even the busiest of days, ensuring that consistency doesn’t feel burdensome.

The app features a variety of routines such as chair yoga, wall Pilates, and somatic yoga, which are designed to foster long-term strength and stability. These exercises are safe, sustainable, and restorative. Over time, users frequently report reduced pain, improved sleep, and increased body confidence.

Another option is BetterMe, which is an all-in-one health app with over 3000 workouts including pilates, calisthenics and chair yoga, meal plans, water and calorie trackers and self care challenges. This app has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating from users as people say they ‘love the app.’

Down Dog is another option as it has yoga, pilates, meditation, HIIT, barre and prenatal yoga options for users to choose from. An additional feature is being able to set time, level, focus, voice and music to give a ‘personalised yoga practice every time’.

Although there are no direct reviews on the Yoga-Go app, it has garnered over 8,000 reviews on Trustpilot. One person said: “I decided to give yoga go a try as I had retired and was starting to get soft. After three back surgeries it isn’t always easy but after six months now I’m feeling better than ever. I no longer sit while I do my workouts as I’ve become so much stronger. Now I stand for them.” Another said: “I was very sceptical of the chair yoga but after a month it was noticeable the difference in my strength and flexibility. I can say in all honesty that at 71 years old I like what difference chair yoga has made in my life.”

It’s worth noting that some people didn’t feel as optimistic, for example: “Love the workout. Learning the movement and pace can be distracting but it keeps improving.” Another said: “It was helpful but l did not stay with it. My fault!”

Overall, most people were happy as this person said: “Love that you can make the workouts 15-20 minutes long. This really helps to squeeze them into a busy schedule. In addition you can choose how hard or easy you would like your workout to be.”
