In a distressing incident that unfolded on Saturday in New Iberia, Louisiana, more than a dozen individuals required medical attention after being struck by a vehicle during a parade.
The unfortunate event took place at a busy intersection, leading to multiple injuries. The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed the location as the intersection of Savannakhet Street and Melancon Road.
Emergency response was swift and comprehensive. Acadian Ambulance, a local emergency medical service, reported transporting 11 individuals to nearby hospitals via ambulances and airlifting two more patients using medical helicopters.
Authorities expressed concern, noting that some of the injuries sustained in the crash are considered serious, highlighting the severity of the situation.

In response to the accident, a significant deployment of resources was seen, with ten ambulances and two helicopters actively involved in the rescue and transport efforts, as reported by Acadian Ambulance.
