Tragedy struck at Penn Station Saturday night as a 55-year-old man from Brooklyn lost his life following a violent encounter. According to police and sources, the incident unfolded on the northbound C and E train platform at the 34th Street-Penn subway station just before 7 p.m.
It all began when the man inadvertently bumped into another individual, igniting a heated argument. The situation quickly escalated when the suspect struck the victim in the face, as relayed by law enforcement sources.
After the attack, the victim wandered the platform for approximately five minutes before he collapsed, unable to recover from the blow. Meanwhile, the assailant made a swift escape from the scene.

Police officers arrived shortly thereafter, finding the victim unconscious and unresponsive. Despite the efforts of first responders who administered life-saving measures, the man was ultimately transported to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was declared dead.
