A MISSING beauty queen has been found dead at the bottom of the sea hogtied and weighed down with rocks.

Her bloated corpse was found off the seaside village of Barangay 99 Diit in the Philippines on Monday, August 4.

Local fishermen alerted cops after finding her decomposing body drifting in the water.

She was bound to two sacks which were tied to her to weigh her down.

The tragic model also had a bicycle lock around her neck, and she had been blindfolded and gagged.

Local police said: “The body was already in the bloated stage and it was naked.

“The tongue was already sticking out. It was also seen that the neck, hands and feet were tied.

“The face was covered with black cloth and even wrapped with duct tape.”

Cops later confirmed that the remains belonged to the missing beauty queen.

They stated: “Police Regional Office 8 confirms that the unidentified body retrieved from the seawaters of Barangay 99-Diit, Tacloban City, on August 4, 2025, has been positively identified as the woman previously reported abducted in Ormoc City.

“The confirmation was achieved through ongoing coordination between the Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO) and Ormoc City Police Office (OCPO) following the reported abduction in the village of Valencia in Ormoc City on July 31, 2025.”

Reality star and model dies, 32, as cops break down her door to find her body left for 20 days

They continued: “The victim was reportedly taken by three unknown armed individuals who forced her into a black vehicle before escaping toward Kananga, Leyte.”

Disturbing footage previously captured the moment she was reportedly forced into the back of a black Toyota Wigo and driven away – the last time she was sighted.

Lieutenant Nova Tan of Ormoc City police said the alleged abduction was only reported by relatives on Monday – the same day the body was discovered.

The officer noted that they “could have intercepted the suspects’ vehicle at the city or municipal borders” if her family had reported the incident earlier.

Authorities said they were tracking down the suspects and investigating the “premeditated attack”.

Single mum-of-three Acquene was the former winner of the Miss Matag-ob pageant in Matag-ob municipality.

It comes after an ex-beauty queen was shot dead while travelling in a car with her baby daughter and partner in Ecuador.

Esther Gabriela Murillo Cruz, 25, was ambushed by two men on a motorbike who sprayed the vehicle with bullets.

The model was rushed to a local hospital in Manta just after 3am on Saturday where she was treated for gunshot wounds to her vital organs.

But despite medics’ best efforts, she was soon pronounced dead.

And in June, a glamorous bodybuilder was found dead in a swimming pool while on holiday, sparking a police probe.

Luz María Barrera Agatón died in the early hours of Sunday morning while holidaying with her family, before loved ones found her corpse.
