Renowned author Brian Doherty was discovered lifeless in a Bay Area park, with indications pointing to a fatal fall.
The 57-year-old was located at Battery Yates, a notable heritage site in Sausalito, Marin County, as reported last week by Reason Magazine, where Doherty held the position of senior editor.

It is suspected that Doherty fell last Thursday night following his participation in an art event conducted atop the historic concrete military defenses within the park, as noted by SFGATE.
Doherty earned acclaim for his extensive writings on the trajectory of libertarian philosophy, particularly exemplified in his 2008 work “Radicals for Capitalism,” which chronicles the rise of the contemporary American libertarian movement.
In a heartfelt homage, David Nott highlighted Doherty as the definitive historian of the libertarian movement, praising his unparalleled ability to vividly bring to life the personalities and narratives that have shaped libertarianism.
