A family of 12 with ties to Texas died in a horrible vehicle fire after a van drove off a cliff in Mexico.

Josue Martinez and his step-children Eduardo and Emiliano, six and seven, of Laredo, Texas, were tragically killed on Sunday after a transit van holding 16 people lost control and went into a 300-foot ravine, according to a GoFundMe.

His wife, Erika Camacho-Martinez, 30, survived the accident and is is currently hospitalized with third-degree wounds covering approximately 50 percent of her body, family said in the fundraiser, which has garnered more than $40,000.

The family is hoping to transfer Erika to San Antonio ‘for better treatment.’

The passenger van was riding along Highway 14 in Mexico when it lost control and went into the ravine, starting a forest fire which has since been put out, according to police.

Authorities believe the accident may have occurred due to a brake problem.

‘The truth is, we’re devastated,’ family member, Paula Araceli Camacho, told KGNS. ‘To the people who know us, we’re a very united family. We’ve always been very close. They were our only nephews.’

The victims’ bodies had to be extracted from the ravine via helicopter, police video showed.

Four survived the tragedy, including Erika.

Eduardo and Emiliano were in kindergarten and first grade at Finley Elementary School in Laredo.

The school board extended their ‘heartfelt condolences to the family’ and to the ‘students who were touched by these young lives.’

The family remembers them for their love of Roblox, basketball, and baseball, the GoFundMe said.

Josue was remembered for his smile and being a generous person.

‘He always had a smile on his face. I remember him for being that person, that magnificent person,’ college friend, Kiara Estephanie Gonzalez, told KGNS.

‘I have very fond memories of him, of how he treated us and of when he helped us with the homework.’

The other victims are currently unknown.

Another Texas family was left grieving after a suspected drunk driver drove the wrong way down a highway in the Southern State.

Brittany Munive, 33, and her son, DJ, were killed on Monday morning shortly after midnight after suspected drunk driver Michael Anthony Arguijo, 46, drove his red Ford F-150 in the wrong direction on I-45, according to ABC 13.

Brittany’s husband, Dario Munive, and their daughter Mila, 10, were also in the car and were hospitalized after the crash. Both have critical injuries.

The Munive family had been attending a softball tournament in Dallas, where Mila’s team had won the championship, and were been returning home when the fatal crash occurred, according to ABC 13.

Arguijo struck the Munive’s vehicle head-on, causing the car to hit a third vehicle, authorities said.

Arguijo’s blood alcohol level was allegedly 0.17, according to the local outlet. The federal legal limit is .08.
