The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 1-year-old, a 7-year-old, and an adult woman were transported to the hospital. Additionally, a firefighter suffered minor injuries.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, a tragic fire at a mobile home on Maryland Avenue in East Palatka on Monday morning resulted in the death of a 4-year-old child, who passed away at the hospital.

Two adult males were found dead inside the home when firefighters arrived.

PCSO says two other children, a 1-year-old and a 7-year-old, were taken to the hospital for injuries. An adult woman was also taken to the hospital.

Earlier Monday, Putnam County Fire Rescue said a firefighter was taken to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

Officials called the fire “heavily involved,” meaning the fire spread extensively and engulfed a large portion of the home.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the fire, according to PCSO.
