In a devastating event, nine individuals lost their lives when a fire erupted at an assisted living facility in Massachusetts during the night. Residents were seen desperately trying to escape, hanging out of windows and yelling for aid, as reported by officials.
The blaze broke out at the Gabriel House assisted living facility in Fall River, prompting firefighters to arrive at around 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, as confirmed by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services to Fox News Digital.

Approximately 70 people reside in the assisted living facility. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon stated, “This is an unimaginable tragedy for the families and the entire Fall River community. Our deepest sympathies go out to the loved ones mourning this morning, from all of us at the Fall River Fire Department.”
