3 people shot on Skid Row as suspect delivers grim message to victims before pulling the trigger

In a chilling encounter on Thursday night, a gunman ominously declared, “this is where I do business,” before opening fire on a group of people in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s report to The California Post.

The unsettling incident unfolded around 7 p.m. near the bustling intersection of Sixth Street and San Julian Street. The perpetrator remains at large as authorities intensify their search efforts.

According to investigators, the assailant approached the northeast corner of San Julian Street, issued his foreboding statement, and subsequently fired multiple shots, striking two men and a woman.

Paramedics swiftly transported the wounded individuals to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed that all three are in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene on foot, heading northward. At this time, police have not released a detailed description of the individual as they continue their investigation.

Authorities said it is still unclear whether the shooting was gang-related.

Stretching across roughly 50 blocks, Skid Row is one of the nation’s most densely packed homeless zones.
