Trump says he and Israel's Netanyahu will make 'mutual' decision on ending Iran war

On Monday, President Trump announced plans to discuss with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the timing for concluding military actions against Iran. He hinted that the decision would be a collaborative effort between the United States and its key Middle Eastern partner.

In a phone interview with The Times of Israel, Trump stated, “I think it’s mutual… a little bit,” emphasizing that he and Netanyahu have maintained ongoing discussions.

The president further commented, “I’ll make a decision at the right time, but everything’s going to be taken into account,” indicating a careful consideration of all factors involved.

While Trump previously mentioned the conflict with Iran might wrap up in about four weeks, other officials within his administration have been hesitant to commit to a specific duration.

Regarding the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new Ayatollah following his father’s passing, Trump remarked to the Israeli publication, “we’ll see what happens,” having earlier criticized the younger Khamenei as a “lightweight” and “unacceptable to me.”
