On Friday morning, President Donald Trump expressed strong disapproval towards Iran for dismissing the opportunity to reach a nuclear agreement and cautioned them about severe repercussions after Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump made the comments, blaming Iran for forcing Israel into taking preemptive action, on his Truth Social media platform.
“I gave Iran numerous opportunities to negotiate a deal,” the President remarked. “I urged them emphatically to ‘just do it,’ but despite their efforts and how close they came, they ultimately failed to achieve it.”
Trump further mentioned that he had forewarned Iran about Israel’s military might, highlighting that the United States’ ally possesses “the most advanced and deadly military equipment in the world,” largely supplied by America.
“Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – and they know how to use it,” he added.
