On Saturday, President Trump issued a warning that he might deploy ICE agents to airports nationwide to alleviate the turmoil and lengthy security lines resulting from significant TSA absenteeism amid an ongoing partial government shutdown.
Trump urged Democrats to end their opposition, which has led to a halt in funding and delayed paychecks for TSA personnel.
“If the Radical Left Democrats don’t promptly agree to a deal that will make our Country, specifically our Airports, FREE and SAFE once more, I will reposition our exceptional and patriotic ICE Agents to airports, where they will conduct Security like never before,” Trump announced on Truth Social.
He further stated that ICE agents would enhance security measures against undocumented immigrants, particularly targeting individuals from Somalia. Trump attributed the situation to the actions of a “corrupt Governor, Attorney General, and Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar,” whom he claims have brought decline to the “once Great State of Minnesota.”
