Previously, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had indicated plans to temporarily suspend TSA PreCheck® lanes and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry services due to the effects of a partial government shutdown.

TSA PreCheck is a subscription-based service designed for frequent travelers, allowing them to pass through airport security more swiftly, often without needing to remove laptops from their bags, among other conveniences.
