Tuscaloosa man sentenced to 24 years in prison for drug crimes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man from Tuscaloosa was sentenced for his role in a drug conspiracy, as announced by U.S. Attorney Prim Escalona on Monday.

Hanston Clark, 33, from Tuscaloosa, received a 24-year prison sentence. He was found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, and the use of a communication facility to further a drug trafficking crime in November.

Terrance Stevens, 41, of Anniston, and Yannick Wolf, 35, of Anniston, were previously sentenced for a role in the drug conspiracy.

“This sentencing signifies the culmination of tearing down a perilous drug trafficking network that channeled deadly fentanyl and methamphetamine into our communities,” stated Drug Enforcement Administration New Orleans Division Special Agent in Charge Steven Hofer. “The DEA, together with our federal, state, and local associates, resolutely pursues our goal to hold traffickers accountable and shield the public from the catastrophic effects of these illicit substances.”
