Woman buys four winning scratch offs in one day -- here's how much she won

Lady Luck seems to have smiled broadly on a South Carolina resident recently, delivering an extraordinary stroke of fortune that many only dream of.

This lucky woman managed to hit the jackpot not just once, but four times in a single day. Among her winnings was an astounding $200,000 prize, making her day truly unforgettable.

When she spoke with officials from the South Carolina Education Lottery, she simply described the experience as “exciting.” It’s easy to imagine the thrill she must have felt.

Her winning spree began at the Corner Pantry convenience store, where she decided to take a chance on four $5 scratch-off tickets. A modest investment that quickly turned into something much more.

Her first two tickets allowed her to break even. The third ticket gave her a small win of $5. But it was the fourth ticket, a My Money Maker scratch-off, that delivered the life-changing $200,000 prize.

In an interesting twist, lottery officials revealed that her win marked the last jackpot ticket available for that particular game. Talk about perfect timing!

“When it sinks in, I can let you know how it feels,” the South Carolina woman WYFF TV.

The woman, whose identity was not revealed, said she played the lotto tickets in her car at the store’s parking lot.

She was so thrilled when she realized she won, she ran back into the store to tell the first person she could find.

“It’s a friendly place, that’s why I stop there,” the winner said.

Corner Pantry staff were happy to share in her joy and congratulated her on her big win, and the store received a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket, South Carolina lotto officials said.

My Money Maker players have a one in 9,000 chance of winning the jackpot. The woman says she plans to buy a house with her newfound wealth.

“I still haven’t wrapped my brain around it,” she said.
