Incredible footage captured a gigantic green fireball blazing across the UK sky on Monday morning, leaving eyewitnesses in awe and humorously speculating about its connection to the Artemis II mission.
One resident managed to film the spectacle, revealing a vivid green streak that culminated in two consecutive bright flashes before the fireball vanished moments later.
This astronomical marvel was observed in various towns and cities, igniting a wave of online commentary.
“We circle the moon, and now space rocks are being tossed our way,” one Facebook user humorously remarked, nodding to the landmark Artemis II mission.
“Maybe it’s a piece of the spacecraft that got lost,” another jested.
“Could this be leftovers from Artemis?” added a third voice in the playful online discussion.
Other witnesses suggested the fireball was a rogue firework or low-flying aircraft.
“I saw that. It was bright green. It was massive. I thought it was a firework at first it seemed so close,” an onlooker said.
