LOS ANGELES — What does it take to endure the intensity of a Sam Raimi film set, especially when it involves a deluge of blood, water, and thrilling stunts?
A newly released featurette for “Send Help,” directed by the acclaimed Sam Raimi, offers fans an exclusive sneak peek into the making of this survival horror thriller. It includes candid moments and behind-the-scenes action with stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien.
“It’s almost a rite of passage to have Sam Raimi splash blood in your face,” McAdams quipped in the featurette, sharing a memorable on-set experience.
Raimi himself appears in the footage, directing scenes filled with blood and chaos, noting, “It’s just a task I feel compelled to do because no one else does it quite like me.”
The featurette reveals various behind-the-scenes snippets, including McAdams navigating a water-soaked airplane and, true to Raimi’s style, plenty of gore.
“Working with him is fascinating, entertaining, and utterly wild,” remarked O’Brien. McAdams added, “He’s incredibly open to collaboration. You can suggest the craziest ideas, and he’ll consider them.”
