CHICAGO (WLS) — The Chicago Transit Authority has unveiled the schedule for this year’s Allstate Holiday Bus and Train, promising a festive experience for all riders.

Riders can enjoy these holiday-themed journeys using their regular CTA passes, as no special tickets are required.

This season, the CTA Holiday Train will feature six festively adorned passenger railcars. An open flatcar will carry Santa Claus in his sleigh, surrounded by twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and cheerful reindeer.

The 2025 Allstate CTA Holiday Bus boasts a redesigned interior that resembles a gingerbread house. Decorated with wreaths, bows, candy cane stripes, and a miniature gingerbread village, it offers a delightful holiday atmosphere. Santa’s chair is prominently placed at the back of the bus within the updated gingerbread court.

Running across 19 routes, the Holiday Bus will be in operation from November 25 through December 20.

“The Allstate CTA Holiday Fleet is a cherished tradition in Chicago, and I am thrilled that our team brings it to life annually,” stated CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen. “This festive fleet showcases the creativity and dedication of our workforce, who strive to create a magical and memorable holiday experience for our riders.”
