Authorities are seeking assistance in identifying a woman connected to the fatal shooting of a man left behind a Bronx hospital. They’ve released images to aid in her capture.

The woman, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, has long red hair and a distinctive tattoo on her right forearm. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black crop top. She left the scene shortly after 21-year-old Jontay Davis was shot twice in the head inside a vehicle around 2 a.m. on September 2. Police discovered Davis behind St. Barnabas Hospital and rushed him inside, but he could not be revived.

Xavier Kearney, 23, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting of Davis. During his arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court on Tuesday, he was held without bail.

Another suspect, 22-year-old Desean Edwards, was apprehended on September 11, nine days following the shooting. He also faces charges of murder and illegal weapon possession and is being held without bail.

According to police, Kearney resides in the Soundview area of the Bronx, while Edwards is from Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Court documents indicate that both men, alongside the female suspect, were found with two firearms. However, who fired the fatal shots remains undetermined.

The victim’s grief-stricken mother said Davis had just graduated high school and wanted to be a mechanic.

“He was a beautiful child,” she said.

Davis’ older sister created a GoFundMe to cover his funeral expenses.

Her brother, she wrote, was “left for dead at the back of St. Barnabas Hospital, discarded as if he were nothing.”

“The pain and shock of losing him in such a heartbreaking and cruel way is something our family will carry forever,” she said.

“Jontay was only 21 years old, full of life, dreams, and love for the people around him. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend who deserved so much more time here with us. Jontay also lived with autism, which gave him a unique and beautiful way of seeing the world,” she wrote. “He touched everyone he met with his kindness, his big heart, and his special spirit.”
