In a significant diplomatic move, the Trump administration has proposed a 15-point plan aimed at bringing an end to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, according to recent reports.

The proposed peace plan, reportedly delivered to Iranian officials through Pakistan, was highlighted by the New York Times as a step towards addressing long-standing issues with Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs.

Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s special envoy, along with Jared Kushner, the President’s son-in-law, are said to be at the forefront of this initiative. They are reportedly pushing for Iran’s agreement to a temporary one-month cease-fire. This period would serve as an opportunity to discuss and potentially negotiate the details outlined in the 15-point proposal, as reported by Israel’s Channel 12.

President Donald Trump said Monday that there are "major points of agreement" in US-Iran talks which he said must result in Tehran giving up its nuclear ambitions and enriched uranium stockpile. Trump said the talks -- which Iran denies are taking place -- were being conducted with a "top person" but not the country's supreme leader. (Photo by SAUL LOEB / AFP via Getty Images)
