BOSSES at Victoria’s Secret have been forced to take down the company’s website and app as they probe a security incident.

Shoppers have claimed they were left blindsided by the lingerie brand’s move.

Americans are greeted with a message when they try to access the page.

“Valued customer, we identified and are taking steps to address a security incident,” the note says.

“We have taken down our website and some in store services as a precaution.

“Our team is working around the clock to fully restore operations.

“Thank you for your patience as we go through this process. While this is happening, our Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores are still open, and we are excited to continue serving you.”

Chiefs have not given a timetable regarding the website’s return.

Bosses have not revealed any further details about the security scare.

But, shoppers took to social media saying they had trouble accessing the site in the days leading up to Memorial Day.

And they also lashed out at the company.

Customers accused the brand of not responding to its shoppers, as reported by the NBC affiliate WCMH-TV.

Shoppers have demanded answers.

“Who broke Victoria’s Secret?” one customer asked.

“The webpage and app have been down all day yesterday and still down [sic].”

Customers have been left unable to complete their orders, sparking widespread frustration.

Victoria’s Secret note to shoppers

SHOPPERS are met with a note on the Victoria’s Secret webpage when they try to access the site. It says:

“Valued customer, we identified and are taking steps to address a security incident.

“We have taken down our website and some in store services as a precaution.

“Our team is working around the clock to fully restore operations.

“Thank you for your patience as we go through this process. While this is happening, our Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores are still open, and we are excited to continue serving you.”

The security incident has also impacted workers.

Staffers were struggling to access their accounts, as reported by Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, some workers fear that they might not be paid on time.

“We’re concerned if we’re going to get paid for those days off,” one woman told the Fox affiliate WTTE-TV.

“And if we are going to get our paychecks on Friday.

“I want to know if we are getting paid this week or if we still have a job.”

A spokesperson for the company revealed the website was taken down as a precaution, as reported by SFGate.
