Reflecting on the startling encounter, Kramer shared his experience on social media, describing the day as a “whale” of an adventure and urging others to exercise caution around wildlife. “I had slowed down considerably because I spotted some whales nearby,” he explained. “But on my final pass, one surfaced right in front of me. I’m just thankful we both came out of it unscathed.”

The online community, however, offered mixed reactions to Kramer’s tale. Some commenters questioned his choice to continue windsurfing despite the presence of whales in the vicinity.

“If you knew they were there, why did you keep sailing?” one user inquired, while another pointedly reminded, “What about maintaining a 300-foot distance from marine mammals?”
