As reported by RedState earlier this Saturday, President Trump issued an emergency executive order due to the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles escalating into riots, with local law enforcement unable to regain control, prompting the deployment of the state National Guard to oversee the troubled areas.
WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released a statement, announcing the president’s action:
In the wake of this violence, California’s feckless Democrat leaders have completely abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens.
Consequently, President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum to send 2,000 National Guardsmen to curb the unchecked lawlessness. The Trump Administration upholds a strict policy against criminal activities and violence, particularly when it targets law enforcement officers fulfilling their duties. Those responsible for the unrest will face arrest and quick prosecution. The President is determined to ensure that the laws in the United States are fully and effectively enforced.
The vice president also reacted to the EO on Saturday through his X account.
