In a show of support for the agricultural community, the Trump administration rolled out a quirky initiative on Friday, introducing a new website dedicated to its farming policies. Accompanying this digital launch was an eye-catching golden tractor prominently displayed on the South Lawn of the White House.
The newly revealed website, humorously titled “OnlyFarms,” is a nod to the well-known adult site OnlyFans, though its intentions are far more wholesome. Hosted on the official WhiteHouse.gov platform, it requires a specific search for “OnlyFarms.gov” to access. This initiative aims to highlight the administration’s agricultural agenda.
On this platform, users can explore a map that details the financial benefits farmers in each state have experienced under President Trump’s policies. Despite the playful name, the site addresses serious issues facing the agricultural sector, which is grappling with elevated fuel and fertilizer expenses, partly due to the administration’s global tariff strategies and ongoing tensions with Iran.
In response to these challenges, President Trump announced measures aimed at alleviating some of the financial strain on farmers. Among these is a new initiative from the Small Business Administration, which will now increase loan guarantees to 90% for lenders working with small agricultural businesses, an increase from the previous 75%.
This enhanced support will be available to a wide range of producers, including those in vegetable, grain, and seed farming, as well as livestock sectors such as cattle, pigs, and poultry. The move is part of a broader effort to bolster the agricultural industry amidst current economic pressures.
Trump said the new guarantees would cover loans to vegetable, grain and seed farmers as well as cattle, pig and poultry producers.
He also confirmed that the Environmental Protection Agency is issuing new guidance for diesel emissions, based on a change in exhaust fluid sensors that the White House says will save billions.
The president touted “the single largest gathering of American farmers that the White House has ever seen” in his remarks to around 800 spectators Friday.
“And rain or shine, you don’t mind,” he added. “The one thing about farmers, they don’t care about that weather.”
Trump thanked the gathering for their support, calling them “very, very special people.”
“You voted for me. I will never forget that,” he said.
Trump was flanked by one gold tractor and and one red, white and blue tractor, with the former quickly catching the president’s attention.
“That’s a beautiful tractor. That’s a gold tractor. Somebody had me in mind,” he said as the crowd laughed. “That’s a hell of a tractor.”
The tractor was a golden Fendt 1167 Vario and was displayed courtesy of the AGCO Corporation, one of the world’s largest agricultural equipment manufacturers. The tractor was manufactured in Jackson, Minnesota.
Trump told the crowd that no president had been more supportive of agriculture, reminding his audience, “I just gave you $12 billion” in assistance this past December.
“You think Biden would have done that?”
