Starbucks is once again stirring excitement among its fans with the potential return of the highly sought-after Bearista cup.

In a recent Instagram tease, the coffee giant hinted that eager customers might have a chance to secure the beloved cold cup on December 8. However, details remain sparse, leaving fans to speculate and anticipate.

“Your chance is in the Starbucks app. Tomorrow, 12/8,” read the caption of the video shared by Starbucks on December 7, sparking a flurry of curiosity and speculation.

By 9:30 a.m. ET on December 8, the Starbucks app remained silent on any specifics regarding the cup’s availability, leaving fans in suspense.

While the news has generated excitement, it has also stirred frustration among loyal customers. Many took to the comments section to express their eagerness mixed with disappointment over the lack of clear information and the app’s silence, with some even speculating that an overwhelming demand may have affected Starbucks’ servers.

“Has anyone checked the app cause I don’t see nothing yet,” lamented one user, accompanied by a crying emoji, echoing a broad sentiment among the waiting fans.

“So…. We still waiting,” another commented.

“Come context would be nice,” someone snarked.

“FIX YOUR APP!!!!! IT IS NOT WORKING,” a user yelled.

“Still nothing in the app and went in store today. It’s 9 am so not sure if this is actually happening,” another shared.

It’s currently unclear if Starbucks is simply restocking the Bearista Cold Cup or if it’s part of a larger promotion, such as acting as a prize for the Starbucks for Life Merrython, which Rewards Members can start to play on Dec. 8.

However, like information about the Bearista cup, the game has yet to appear on the Starbucks app.

Newsweek reported that 17,000 Bearista cups will be available to win through the Starbucks Rewards instant-win promotion, limited to one per person.

The Post has reached out to Starbucks for clarification.

On Nov. 6, the coffee chain released its 2025 holiday menu and merchandise, which included the viral Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup, a 20-ounce vessel shaped like a teddy bear wearing a Starbucks green knitted beanie priced at $29.95.

The novelty cup caused quite the commotion, with many customers unable to get their hands on one and some even starting fights over them, including one brawl that made the news in Houston.

After fans began expressing disappointment over the festive fiasco, Starbucks was forced to issue a public apology about the supply shortage.

“The excitement for our merchandise exceeded even our biggest expectations,” a Starbucks spokesperson told The Post in a statement at the time. “Despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast.”

They added, “We understand many customers were excited about the Bearista cup and apologize for the disappointment this may have caused.”
