In an astonishing stroke of luck, a windsurfer narrowly escaped serious harm after an unexpected collision with a gray whale in the waters off San Francisco.
Eric Kramer, the windsurfer involved, was navigating the waves at Crissy Field when the incident unfolded. As he skimmed the surface, a massive whale suddenly emerged from the depths, striking Kramer and sending him tumbling from his board into the chilly water below.
