A young special education teacher, aged 22, is confronting potentially lengthy prison time after being accused of engaging in sexual activities with students and supplying them with alcohol in her home.
Nadia Horn, who shared teaching responsibilities for World Studies at Eau Claire North High School, appeared for the first time in Eau Claire County Court on Monday. She faces serious felony charges related to child sexual assault.
The investigation began on March 25 when the Eau Claire Area School District reported a “potential inappropriate relationship” to a School Resource Officer, as detailed in a criminal complaint accessed by WEAU-TV. The ensuing investigation uncovered a disturbing pattern of grooming and exploitation involving several 16-year-old students.
Authorities allege that Horn targeted at least two students, presenting herself as a supportive figure. One student revealed to officers that Horn purchased a cell phone for him to facilitate communication via Snapchat, through which she allegedly sent him “very revealing” images.

Horn, who co-taught World Studies at the Wisconsin-based Eau Claire North High School, admitted during police questioning to having sexual intercourse with one of the victims on three occasions at her residence. She reportedly acknowledged her actions, saying, “I made a mistake.”
During police interviews, Horn allegedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with one victim three times at her Eau Claire apartment, stating, “I made a mistake.”
The victim reportedly told police that he and Horn did “everything sexual you can do with a person.”

She allegedly admitted to sexual encounters with a second 16-year-old student as well, telling investigators that the encounters “felt mutual” and she did not feel she was taking advantage of the minor.
Horn also allegedly admitted to bringing three teenage boys to her apartment in March because they “needed a ride.” Once there, she allegedly provided the minors with wine because “they asked,” according to the complaint.

Horn posted a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on May 20. (Facebook/ Nadia Horn)
The Eau Claire Area School District confirmed in a letter to families that Horn has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the legal proceedings.
