A GRAN was left seriously injured after being mauled by two dogs while delivering food to her neighbor.
Fran Williams claimed the attack seemed like it went on forever and revealed one of the beasts had latched onto her head.
She was attacked by a Staffordshire Terrier mix as well as a Labrador Retriever mix dog, as reported by The Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Williams, a grandmother of seven, sustained injuries shortly after reaching her neighbor’s house to deliver an Uber Eats order.
On June 20, she knocked on her neighbor’s Stephanie Sullivan’s caravan in Volusia County, Florida, before being told to “look out.”
Williams claimed there was a dog “hanging” on her leg and admitted she feared for her life.
“I was screaming for help. I really felt like I was going to die,” she told the News-Journal.
The Staffordshire dog, known as Tank, bit Williams’ leg before she was attacked by the Labrador Retriever mix.
Williams’ ex-husband sprinted across the street and wrestled the Staffordshire dog off her.
“The pain in my leg was just awful,” she told the Fox affiliate WOFL-TV.
He ended up wrapping a cable around her leg.
In a GoFundMe post, Williams’ daughter, Meghan, warned her mom faces a long road ahead.
She had a five-hour surgery where doctors stitched up her injuries.
Meghan shared photos from the hospital that showed her mom’s head, arm and leg wrapped in bandages.
She revealed that her mom had struggled to put pressure on the injured leg and found it difficult to use her arm.
“She is a fighter and she’s trying to get back on her feet as soon as possible,” Meghan added.
Williams returned home days after the attack and Meghan has provided updates on her recovery.
Meghan said her mom needed to use a wheelchair and has resorted to “one legged hopping.”
And she faces surgery on her leg to remove dead skin.
Meghan revealed her mom is striving to be able to walk by the time the Texas Longhorns football team competes against the Florida Gators in October.
Williams has reportedly been told she faces a three-month recovery.
A court hearing was held on Wednesday but the owners of the dogs failed to appear, as reported by WOFL-TV.
A judge ruled the animals were dangerous but the owners have since filed an appeal.
Meanwhile, The U.S. Sun reported how a baby girl was killed by a her family dog at a home in Ohio.
