A disturbed individual reportedly attacked a woman by stabbing her in the neck with a piece of glass as she strolled through SoHo, a high-end shopping district in Manhattan, on Monday afternoon.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, has been assisted by the police who apprehended a person of interest, as confirmed by a New York City Police Department (NYPD) spokesperson to Fox News Digital.
Police did not share any further information about the person of interest.
Around 3 p.m., a 911 caller reported an assault in progress.

“From what I heard, a woman was about to be robbed of her purse… He turned his attention to another woman, slashed her, took her bag, and cut her in the neck with a glass shard before fleeing up the street,” stated a witness in the vicinity, Jordan P. shared.
The bystander further described the victim as “really pale.” He also said he heard a woman screaming for help.
