A 66-year-old man named Marshall Foskey has been taken into custody by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office in relation to a bank heist that occurred on October 10 in Yulee.

In Yulee, Florida, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office revealed on Monday that they have arrested Marshall Foskey for his alleged involvement in the October 10 robbery at First Federal Bank. Foskey, aged 66, is the primary suspect in the case.

Authorities report that Foskey is accused of brandishing a firearm at bank employees and demanding that they clear out all the cash from the teller stations. Witness accounts suggest he then coerced two employees into the vault, compelling them to continue transferring money into his bag.

After securing the cash, Foskey reportedly locked the employees inside the vault before fleeing the scene. The victims managed to trigger the bank’s alarm system, prompting a swift response from deputies.

Through a series of investigative measures, detectives were able to verify Foskey’s identity. Collaborating with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, they secured a warrant and arrested Foskey at his residence in Pembroke, Georgia, on October 20. A significant portion of the stolen money has been recovered, according to reports.

The sheriff’s office notes that Foskey has a long history of criminal activity, including numerous felony burglary convictions. He is currently detained in Georgia at the Bryan County jail, awaiting a hearing for a probation violation. Once those legal matters are addressed, he will be extradited to Nassau County to face further charges.

“I commend the diligent work of our deputies and detectives whose swift and coordinated response led to the apprehension of the suspect responsible for the bank robbery,” said Sheriff Bill Leeper. “Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to public safety ensured this dangerous individual was taken into custody without further incident. This successful outcome reflects the dedication and teamwork that define the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office. This career criminal chose the wrong county to steal from.”
