On Saturday, Vanessa Trump opted to share Instagram stories about her teenage daughter Kai, steering clear of discussing her boyfriend Tiger Woods’ recent car accident and subsequent arrest.
The renowned golfer, aged 50, found himself in legal trouble on Friday afternoon. He attempted to overtake a truck and trailer at high speed along a residential road on Jupiter Island, resulting in a collision that flipped his SUV onto its side.
After extricating himself from the passenger window, Woods declined to provide a urine sample when approached by police, leading to his arrest on charges of DUI, property damage, and refusal to comply with a lawful test.
Authorities released Woods’ striking mugshot later that night, revealing his puffy, bloodshot eyes. He was released on bond an hour afterward, whisked away from the jail as eager fans and media members jostled for a glimpse of him.
Captured by a Daily Mail photographer, Woods appeared stern, his lips tightly pressed together. He briefly glanced out the passenger window at the crowd before vanishing into the darkness.
Despite the incident, Vanessa Trump, formerly tied to the Trump family, has remained silent about the crash. Instead, she focused her social media updates on her daughter Kai’s visit to the Miami Open tennis event over the weekend.

In the posts shared to Vanessa’s story, Kai can be seen with world No. 1 women’s player Aryna Sabalenka.
Another picture showed the eldest grandchild of president Trump with Sabalenka’s coach Jason Stacy, as well as youth golf pro Allan Kournikova.
It’s unclear whether Vanessa was with her daughter at the tennis tournament but the pictures were first posted around 2pm on Friday, roughly the same time that Woods is believed to have crashed.
Kai, 17, was then pictured in the stands during the women’s final between Sabalenka and America’s Coco Gauff on Saturday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium.
In a second post to her Instagram story on Saturday, Vanessa shared a video of Kai answering a fan’s question during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ she was hosting.

Earlier this week, both Kai and Vanessa were pictured at the TGL finals in Palm Beach to watch Woods make his long-awaited return to golf. Woods and Vanessa were pictured exchanging a kiss.
At the scene of Friday’s accident, Woods passed a breathalyzer test after showing ‘triple zeros’, but then refused to give a urine sample twice, once on the roadside and then again at the jail.

‘He is cooperative, but he was not trying to incriminate himself, so he was careful in what he said and didn’t say,’ Sheriff John Budensiek explained. ‘When it came time again for the test, the urine test at the jail, he stopped that.
‘On scene, we had [Drug Recognition] experts evaluating him and they believed from on scene that he was not impaired with alcohol, but they believe it was some type of medication or drug. And again, at the jail he cooperated with the breathalyzer, and then the urine [test] he wanted no part in.
‘He has a right to refuse that test. There is a statute that he will be charged with for refusing to take that test, but we will never get definitive results as to what he was impaired on at the time of the crash.’
It marked the latest in a string of DUI arrests and car crashes for Woods.
Woods was involved in a similar crash in 2021 in California, which shattered his right leg after he was trapped under the vehicle. He needed multiple surgeries in order to recover from his injuries.
He was also previously pictured in a police mugshot in 2017 after being arrested for his first DUI, when police found him slumped in his car in Florida with five drugs in his system, including two painkillers.
